While losing is never fun, Utica Academy of Science can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 453rd, while East is ranked 66th).
Utica Academy of Science lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Doneilious King j.r, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. King j.r scored a full 34.5% of Utica Academy of Science's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jazier Brown, who scored 12 points.
Utica Academy of Science bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for East, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Utica Academy of Science's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bishop Kearney at 6:00 p.m. on December 17th. Bishop Kearney is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. East will be home for the holidays to greet Bishop Grimes at 12:45 p.m. on Sunday.
