The Scappoose Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 54-39 to Seaside. Scappoose has not had much luck with Seaside recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Scappoose lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Colton Sprenger, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Sprenger posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinton Olson, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Scappoose's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Seaside, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.
Scappoose will stay at home for another game and welcome St. Helens at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Seaside, they will head out on the road to take on Marist at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Marist is ranked 46th, while Seaside is ranked 34th).
