Rio Vista was led to victory by Sitka Rice and Shiloh Johnson. Rice scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals, while Johnson dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Rio Vista, they pushed their record up to 2-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Meridian will head out on the road to face off against Aquilla at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rio Vista, they will square off against Boles at 2:20 p.m. on Thursday. Boles' defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so Rio Vista's offense will have their work cut out for Rio Vista.
