After five games on the road, Christian Academy of Knoxville is heading back home. After both having extra time off, the Christian Academy of Knoxville Warriors and the Lakeway Christian Academy Lions will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Maddie Braden and Kami Wilson.
Last Friday, Christian Academy of Knoxville came up short against King's Academy and fell 54-45.
Meanwhile, Lakeway Christian Academy put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season last Friday. They blew past Providence Academy 56-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Lakeway Christian Academy has posted since December 8, 2023.
Wilson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Lakeway Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Ellie Linx, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Christian Academy of Knoxville's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for Lakeway Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Everything came up roses for Christian Academy of Knoxville against Lakeway Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 65-12 win. With Christian Academy of Knoxville ahead 44-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.
