Calhoun Academy has gone 7-1 against Hebron Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The Cougars are taking a road trip to  face off against the Eagles  at 7:00  p.m. One thing working in Calhoun Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 31  points  in their last five contests.
Calhoun Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Mississippi's top teams: Kemper Academy, who was ranked 20th  at the time (Calhoun Academy was ranked 12th). The Cougars claimed a resounding  50-6 win over the Rams. The  victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won nine in a row.

 Carsen Stegall continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 119 yards and three  touchdowns on only ten carries, while also throwing for 141 yards and a pair of  TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes. His rushing production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 119  rushing yards.  Bronnor Bingham was another key player, gaining 94 total yards and a touchdown.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Calhoun Academy was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 234  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 160  rushing yards in 18 consecutive  matchups  dating back to last season.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Calhoun Academy's defense and their four sacks.  Jonah Clark was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.
Meanwhile, Hebron Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight  loss  dating back to last season. They were  outmatched by Columbus Christian Academy and fell  68-24. On the bright side, the 24- point  effort marked the Eagles' highest-scoring  game to date.
 Calhoun Academy will have to contain  Ethan Sappington as he made an impact in Hebron Christian's last game. He picked up 209 receiving yards and two  scores. Sappington really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 77 yards.
 Hebron Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Calhoun Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Friday's   contest might be decided in the trenches. Calhoun Academy has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 255.4  rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Hebron Christian, though, as  they've been averaging  only 50.9  rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
 Everything came up roses for Calhoun Academy against Hebron Christian when the teams last played  back in October of 2024, as the  team secured  a  41-14 victory. In that  matchup, the Cougars amassed a halftime lead of  22-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat  on Friday.
