West Nassau is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 20-10 win over Fernandina Beach.
West Nassau's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Smo Green led the charge by rushing for 154 yards and one TD. Skyler Freeman also helped out as he racked up 117 rushing yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: West Nassau was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 370 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 225 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, American Heritage's offense rose to the challenge against a Vipers defense that boasted an average of only 13 points allowed on Friday. The Stallions blew past Space Coast 53-18. The result was nothing new for the Stallions, who have now won eight games by 25 points or more so far this season.
American Heritage's win came from a few key players West Nassau will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Marcus Stracke, who threw for 335 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 82.6% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of American Heritage's success: the team is 8-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. The Stallions' leading receiver Johanthan Cesar was Stracke's top target yet again, picking up 183 receiving yards and four scores.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to American Heritage's defense and their six sacks. Leading the way was Tyler Kovic with three. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times he's played.
West Nassau's record now sits at 12-1. As for American Heritage, their record is now 9-3.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. West Nassau has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 323.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like American Heritage struggles in that department as they've been averaging 164.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
