The Sotomayor WILDCATS will head out on the road to take on the O'Connor Panthers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sotomayor is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 84-45, which was the final score in Sotomayor's tilt against Brennan on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Sotomayor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 342nd, while Brennan is ranked 16th).
Meanwhile, everything went O'Connor's way against Stevens on Wednesday as O'Connor made off with a 69-43 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for O'Connor.
Sotomayor now has a losing record at 15-16. As for O'Connor, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-12 record this season.
Sotomayor barely slipped by O'Connor in their previous matchup back in January, winning 46-45. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was O'Connor's Julian Barron, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Sotomayor still be able to contain Barron? There's only one way to find out.
