The Genesis Prep Academy Jaguars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Lakeside 92-39. While losing is never fun, Genesis Prep Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while Lakeside is ranked 32nd).
Lakeside found their leader in underclassman Tyson Charley, who scored 30 points along with six assists and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Charley has scored all season. Blaze Callahan was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with four steals.
Genesis Prep Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Lakeside, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
Genesis Prep Academy will head out on the road to take on Timberlake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Timberlake is on a four-game streak of home losses, Genesis Prep Academy a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Lakeside will take on Wallace at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
