The Westosha Central Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the Muskego Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westosha Central will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Westosha Central barely beat Beloit Memorial the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons never let the Purple Knights get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Monday. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by exactly ten runs.
Mykenna Sturino was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Alex McKinney was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Westosha Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beloit Memorial only posted a batting average of .100.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Muskego nor Sun Prairie East made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Warriors walked away with a 4-0 win over the Cardinals. Give the Warriors' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
Not much got past Kyleigh Sadler, who gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks to keep Sun Prairie East off the board. Sadler has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Reese Heinrich, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024.
Muskego is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Westosha Central, they pushed their record up to 12-6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Westosha Central has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Muskego struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
