The Vanguard School was led to victory by  Ainsley Anderson and  Meining Zhang.  Anderson  had nine assists and three  aces, while  Zhang  hit 61.5% for nine  kills and five  digs and four  aces. Zhang is  on a roll when it comes to  kills, as she's  now  had five or more in each of the last 25 games she's  played dating back to last season.  Ava Davis also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first  assists of the season.
 They weren't the only good servers: The Vanguard School  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 22  aces. That's the most  aces they've posted since back in November of 2024.
The Vanguard School's record now sits at 17-5. As for Atlas Preparatory School,  they are  on  a  40-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.
