The Peninsula Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the El Camino Real Royals at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Peninsula has given up an average of 7.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
On Wednesday, Peninsula got the win against Narbonne by a conclusive 20-12. Considering the Panthers have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Peninsula got a massive performance out of Audrina Gamez, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave Gamez a new career-high. Hailey Lang was another key player, going 5-for-6 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double.
Peninsula was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .524. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .324 or higher in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, El Camino Real fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Harvard-Westlake on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 6-3 to the Wolverines. The Royals' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
El Camino Real saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Franklin, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Peninsula has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.4 runs over those games. As for El Camino Real, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
El Camino Real's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Peninsula has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .602.
