The Fort Yukon Eagles put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 52-46 victory over Non Varsity Opponent. That's another feather in the cap for Fort Yukon, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Fort Yukon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nellie Ward, who scored 15 points. Ward is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Twila Strom, who scored 14 points.
Fort Yukon's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 89-155.
