Russell's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 64-47 win over the Ellis Railroaders. The Broncos' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Russell's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Norah Mooney, who went 8 for 13 on her way to 21 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Mooney has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Russell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 49-41 defeat against Thomas More Prep-Marian on the 25th. Ellis has also already played their next game, a 52-41 loss against Norton on the 25th.
