Stone Myrick was a standout: he scored two runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February. Drew McDonald was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Lawrence County had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Rangers.
LaFreddrick Harris was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Lawrence County: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Turner, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Lawrence County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
St. Andrew's Episcopal's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Lawrence County, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Saturday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. St. Andrew's Episcopal has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. However, it's not like Lawrence County struggles in that department as they've averaged .491. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
