Sherman hasn't had much luck against Scott recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tide will be playing in front of their home fans against the Skyhawks at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Scott will be up against a hot Sherman squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Tide's pitcher stepped up to hand South Charleston a 10-0 shutout on Monday.

Luke Tagliente made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in 13 consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted over his last 11 matchups.
In other batting news, Brady Perdue was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Hamrick, who earned two RBI and one run.
Sherman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Scott came out on top against South Charleston on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Skyhawks put the hurt on the Black Eagles with a sharp 6-0 win.
Not much got past Brodie Null, who gave up just two hits to keep South Charleston off the board.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cayden Sharps, who earned two runs and four stolen bases.
Scott's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Sherman, their win bumped their record up to 22-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Sherman has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Scott struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Sherman came out on top in a nail-biter against Scott in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 7-6. Will the Tide repeat their success, or do the Skyhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
