The Tucker Tigers will face off against the Druid Hills Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tucker is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 38.8 points per game this season.
On Friday, everything came up roses for Tucker against Northview as the squad secured a 55-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.
It was another big night for Jace German, who rushed for 110 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries, and also threw for 98 yards and one touchdown.
Tucker's run defense was locked in: Northview could only muster 0.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Christian Ema for the heroic effort on defense: he. Tucker didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 15.7.
Tucker's defense didn't let Drew Beane, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Samuel Bryant and Jamare Tolliver, who each picked up 0.5 sacks apiece. Tucker received some extra help from Tolliver, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Druid Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 41-13 loss at the hands of Lithonia. The Red Devils were down 27-7 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Although Druid Hills took the loss, they still got scores from Xavier Norris and Jackson Hampton.
Druid Hills' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Tucker, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Tucker has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 232.8 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Druid Hills, though, as they've been averaging only 76.2 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
