Carlsbad has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Ramona Bulldogs at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Carlsbad has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 110 points over their last three matches.
 Last Friday, Carlsbad got the win against Del Norte  by a conclusive  35-9. Given the Lancers' advantage  in MaxPreps' California football rankings  (they are ranked 42nd, while the Nighthawks are ranked 144th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carlsbad to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Jake Morrison, who rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 50 receiving yards and a touchdown. With that strong performance,  Morrison is now averaging an impressive 100.5  rushing yards per game.  Eli MacNeal was another key passer, throwing for 208 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Carlsbad was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 264  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since  was before  the start of last season.
 Meanwhile, Ramona took a  blow against Poway on Friday, falling  49-7. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  28-0.
 Carlsbad's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 3-1. As for Ramona,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-3.
 Everything came up roses for Carlsbad against Ramona in their previous meeting  back in September of 2023 as the  team secured  a  38-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carlsbad since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
