Coldwater posted their closest win since October 23, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the St. Johns Redwings 2-1. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Redwings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Mya Porter paced Coldwater's offense, picking up seven kills. Porter got some help from Brooklyn Closson and her 19 assists. Porter was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

The win made it two in a row for Coldwater and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for St. Johns, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coldwater wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Hudson on the 3rd. After both having extra time off, St. Johns and Williamston will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on the 4th. This will be the Redwings' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
