The Mercer Island Islanders will head out on the road to face off against the Hazen Highlanders at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, Mercer Island took their match at home with ease, bagging a 75-47 win over Juanita. With Mercer Island ahead 51-27 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Tristen Cruzen, who scored 17 points. Will Mcdonald was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Hazen didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Highline on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 52-48 win. The win was just what Hazen needed coming off of a 73-36 loss in their prior match.
Mercer Island's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Juanita's loss dropped them down to 1-2.
Mercer Island strolled past Hazen in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 61-42. Does Mercer Island have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hazen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
