It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Jarrell Cougars can now relate to. They fell to Bandera 32-27. Jarrell has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JaMarion Nibblett, who rushed for 183 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. Nibblett was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards. Mason Dotson was in the mix as well, providing Jarrell with two touchdowns.
It was another big night for Jesse Cardenas, who rushed for 219 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.
Jarrell has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Bandera, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Jarrell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bandera will face off against Ingleside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
