Liberty is 9-1 against Chowchilla since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Liberty is taking a road trip to challenge Chowchilla at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Chowchilla will be up against a hot Liberty squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Liberty's pitchers stepped up to hand Riverdale a 20-0 shutout on Thursday. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
Macie Webster made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Katie Bandy looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Liberty was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .516. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Chowchilla made easy work of Parlier on Friday and carried off a 15-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Tribe in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.
Brianna Guardado made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Guardado was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Chowchilla let April Miller and Rylee Vlot run wild. Miller scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Vlot scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Lexyss Sabin also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Chowchilla pushed their record up to 5-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing 8.25 strikeouts in those games compared to only 4.14 in the others. As for Liberty, their record now sits at 9-3.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Liberty hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .388. However, it's not like Chowchilla struggles in that department as they've averaged .352. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Liberty took their win against Chowchilla in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2. Does Liberty have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chowchilla turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
