The De Smet Jesuit Spartans and the Christian Brothers Cadets squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the De Smet Jesuit Spartans had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cadets by a score of 31-28. De Smet Jesuit's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Although De Smet Jesuit took the loss, they still got scores from Mason Skornia and Bryant Pool.
De Smet Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Christian Brothers, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
De Smet Jesuit does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Christian Brothers is on the road again on Saturday and play against Liberty North at 7:00 p.m. on December 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Liberty North is ranked first, while Christian Brothers is ranked fourth).
