Given Stone Memorial's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while DeKalb County is ranked 206th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cade Capps continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 42 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That makes it 18 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Stone Memorial's points. Brady Lane was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Stone Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for DeKalb County, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Stone Memorial will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against White County at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully White County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday. As for DeKalb County, they will head out on the road to face off against Cumberland County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Cumberland County and three for DeKalb County.
