Baptist Hill ended up on the wrong side of a tough 65-41 walloping at the hands of Burke on Saturday. Baptist Hill lost against Burke in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 60-58 score last time.
Baptist Hill's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaden Douglas, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds, and Rickey Middleton Jr who scored ten points along with five steals. Middleton Jr is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Burke to victory, but perhaps none more so than Juel Mack, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Daniel Watkins, who scored 14 points.
Baptist Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Burke, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.
