Lapwai saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arlondo Lopez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. That hit was Lopez's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Troy came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Rams as they made off with a 17-8 win. Monday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lapwai has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .503. However, it's not like Troy struggles in that department as they've averaged .458. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lapwai suffered a grim 19-5 defeat to Troy in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
