The Canton-Galva Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Solomon at home to the tune of 65-29. Canton-Galva has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 23 points or more this season.
Canton-Galva found their leader in underclassman Trinity Espinoza, who scored 22 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Espinoza has scored at least a third of Canton-Galva's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adi Alcala, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Canton-Galva has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Solomon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Classical the next time they take the court. Solomon will head out to face Classical at TBD on Tuesday, while Canton-Galva will head out to face them on Friday.
