The Jackson Aggies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 95-31 win over Leroy on the road. That 95-31 margin sets a new team best for Jackson this season.
Jackson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Micah Caster led the charge by scoring 18 points along with five assists. The matchup was Caster's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of William Joseph Taylor, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Leroy struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
The win was the sixth in a row for Jackson, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.2 points per game. As for Leroy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Jackson will head out on the road to face off against McIntosh at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McIntosh is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Leroy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fruitdale at 5:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Fruitdale is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
