The biggest upset of the week belonged to Valley, who took down 241st ranked Valley, 22-21. David Lattanzio threw for 110 yards and one touchdown and ran for one yards in the win.
Brendan Lynch of Freeport ran for the longest rushing play in WPIAL AA Allegheny this season against Summit Academy last week. Lynch scampered for 57 yards on the play and finished with 123 on the day as his team bested the Kinghts.
Tony Devivo was the best wideout in the league this week as Freeport bested Summit Academy. Devivo tallied two receptions for 77 yards.
East Allegheny's Kyle Whipple and Shawn Adair have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Whipple has thrown for 1338 yards this season, while Adair, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 24 catches for 526 yards. John Gaillot's team's Lynch leads the league in rushing yards with 1009.
Ford City moved up to 304 from 340 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in WPIAL AA Allegheny. The Sabers climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Vikings 22-21.
