South Shelby extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Callie Mcwilliams. The South Shelby Cardinals slipped by the Palmyra Panthers 58-57 on Saturday thanks in part to Mcwilliams, who went 9 for 18 on her way to 22 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last ten games she's played dating back to last season.

South Shelby's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Palmyra, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the South Shelby Cardinals take on the Canton Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (South Shelby has won five straight at home dating back to last season, while Canton won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Palmyra, they will welcome Quincy Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Quincy Notre Dame will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Palmyra surely won't give up without a fight.
