It was a good run, but The Barbers Hill Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 27-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Porter. Barbers Hill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Porter apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Barbers Hill's loss came despite strong showings from Kody Fuentes and Cooper Lucas. Fuentes threw for 321 yards and two touchdowns, while Lucas picked up 129 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Barbers Hill's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Porter, their win was their third straight at home , which pushed their record up to 7-3.
Barbers Hill will take on McKinney North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Porter, they will face off against Longview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Longview knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Porter likes a good challenge.
