Softball Recap: Ben Holt College Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Ben Holt College Prep Academy's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Manteca Buffaloes on Thursday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Bobcats were not able to get on the board.

Emma Valli spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for Ben Holt College Prep Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Manteca, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

Coming up, Ben Holt College Prep Academy will take on Sonora in a tournament on Friday. The Bobcats are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Manteca, they will venture away from home to take on Patterson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
