Covenant Christian is 3-0 against O'Connell since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. In what's become a running theme this season, Covenant Christian gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Allen Academy 60-22 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-12.
It was another big night for Alani Owens, who scored 30 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Lucy Hahn was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, O'Connell was beaten by Allen Academy 64-26 on January 12th.
Covenant Christian's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for O'Connell, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.
Everything came up roses for Covenant Christian against O'Connell in their previous meeting on January 9th as the team secured a 54-4 win. With Covenant Christian ahead 43-2 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
