The Potomac Falls Panthers had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 59-48 win over Gar-Field on Tuesday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Potomac Falls to victory, but perhaps none more so than David Marshall, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Johnny Opiola was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Potomac Falls' win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Gar-Field, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Potomac Falls will head out on the road to face off against Mountain View at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gar-Field, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rock Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
