At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nate Singleton, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Pierce Hafferkamp, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Discovery Canyon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.
As for Cheyenne Mountain, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-7-1 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
On Cheyenne Mountain's side, Charlie Scofield put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Scofield was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run.
In other batting news, Nate Glad made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Jansen Roberts, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
