Assumption had a rough outing against Alleman last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Assumption were fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Wahlert 37-0. That result is just more of the same for Assumption, who also won the last time these teams played.
The win got Assumption back to even at 1-1. The loss dropped Wahlert's record to 0-2.
Next week, Assumption take on Xavier at 7:00 PM. Wahlert will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Central Clinton/Calamus-Wheatland at 7:30 PM.
