5A Region 6 recap October 1, 2013
Center Point added to the longest winning streak in 5A Region 6 this week by beating McAdory, 22-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Center Point moved up to 36 from 65 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Bennie Hall's team was able to move up by beating the Yellowjackets 22-14.
Alex Foster made the biggest impact on defense this week as Springville lost to Southside. The 5-foot-10 junior.
Adam Smith threw for 217 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was 14-21 with 1 interception.
Smith put up the best numbers in passing as the Tigers fell to the Panthers. Smith's favorite target this week was Jalane Ramsey, who caught 3 passes for 63 yards.
As it stands, the Eagles are in first, while Pinson Valley is in third.
Curry lost to Sipsey Valley 66-28 last week, the largest margin of any game.
