Last Friday, DSST: Cedar lost to Eagle Ridge Academy at home by a decisive 70-53 margin.
Despite their loss, DSST: Cedar saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Simon Alexander, who scored 13 points, was perhaps the best of all. Semahje Kalanda was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, DSST: Conservatory Green stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 75-38 victory over DSST: College View. The win was nothing new for DSST: Conservatory Green as they're now sitting on four straight.
DSST: Conservatory Green got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Azar Ghezae out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenny Van, who scored 12 points.
DSST: Cedar has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for DSST: Conservatory Green, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Things could have been worse for DSST: Cedar, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-41 loss to DSST: Conservatory Green in their previous matchup back in February of 2023.
