It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Screven County Gamecocks can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Dublin on Friday, falling 49-0. While losing is never fun, Screven County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 331st, while Dublin is ranked 110th).
Dublin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kameron Hampton, who rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. Micah O?neal also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Screven County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Dublin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Screven County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dublin will head out on the road to face off against Brooks County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brooks County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
