Westgate has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Monday. They will face off against the Patterson Lumberjacks at 5:30 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Westgate, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-40 loss to Lake Charles College Prep.
Meanwhile, Patterson was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 35-34 to New Iberia. Patterson has not had much luck with New Iberia recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Westgate bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Patterson, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Westgate came up short against Patterson in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 54-47. Can Westgate avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
