The Hamilton Aggies can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They really took it to Haleyville for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-28 victory on the road. Given Hamilton's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Haleyville is ranked 366th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Aubrey Sorrells was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 40 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Meg Wigington was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight assists and eight rebounds.
Hamilton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Haleyville, they bumped their record down to 5-15 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Russellville the next time they take the court. Haleyville will head out to face Russellville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Hamilton will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
