The Greater Latrobe Wildcats are on the road again on Friday and play against the Aliquippa Quips at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Greater Latrobe put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by West Allegheny on the road to the tune of 39-7.
It was another big night for John Wetzel, who rushed for 247 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.0 yards per carry. Greater Latrobe also got a significant boost from Brady Prohovic, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.
Meanwhile, Aliquippa put another one in the bag two weeks ago to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Central Valley by a score of 27-17.
Greater Latrobe is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Aliquippa, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
