After having lost a blowout in their previous game against York, Yarmouth was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 73-68 win over the Oceanside Mariners. The Clippers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Oceanside's loss came despite strong showings from Jackson Kay and Zeb Foster. Kay went 8 of 17 on his way to 22 points in addition to eight boards and five blocks, while Foster went 8 for 16 on his way to 22 points. With that strong performance, Kay is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Kingsbury, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Yarmouth now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Oceanside, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-3.

Yarmouth will challenge Cape Elizabeth at 4:00 p.m. on January 4th. As for Oceanside, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-60 victory against Lincoln Academy on the 2nd.
