Rootstown has been on the road for three straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Windham Bombers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Rootstown knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Windham likes a good challenge.
Rootstown can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 57-19 victory over Garfield. With Rootstown ahead 42-15 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rootstown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nadia Lough, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Bittecuffer, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Windham had to suffer through a rough 54-26 loss at the hands of Grand Valley. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Windham in their matchups with Grand Valley: they've now lost six in a row.
Rootstown's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2. As for Windham, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
Everything came up roses for Rootstown against Windham in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 48-12 victory. Does Rootstown have another victory up their sleeve, or will Windham turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
