Basketball Recap: Willits' Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Willits needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Kaiden Oliver. The Willits Wolverines blew past the Laytonville Warriors, posting a 57-29 win thanks in part to Oliver, who went 10 for 20 on his way to 26 points and three steals. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Willits' victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Laytonville, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Willits didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-45 win against Potter Valley on the 13th. As for Laytonville, they will head out to take on Eureka at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eureka knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Laytonville likes a good challenge.
