If the Sammamish RedHawks were feeling good off their 80-50 takedown of the Lindbergh Eagles last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sammamish fell just short of Renton by a score of 80-77. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the defeat, Sammamish saw an underclassman step up: Rakin Showki scored 26 points. Rayan Showki was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Sammamish's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Renton, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
Sammamish does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Renton also has no future games currently scheduled.
