The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brunswick in their matchups with Francis Scott Key: they've now lost eight in a row.
Brunswick's loss came despite strong showings from Andie Welsh and Gabby Stefanic. Welsh dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 12 rebounds, and ten blocks, while Stefanic scored 18 points along with three steals.
Brunswick's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Francis Scott Key, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Brunswick will be home for the holidays to greet Williamsport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Francis Scott Key will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Manchester Valley at 6:30 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
