The Broken Arrow Tigers stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They put the hurt on Ponca City with a sharp 72-47 win. Given Broken Arrow's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Ponca City is ranked 260th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ponca City lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elijah Kreisel, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Tay Moore was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Broken Arrow's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Ponca City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Broken Arrow will challenge Southmoore at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ponca City, they will head out on the road to face off against Bartlesville at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Ponca City is coming into the matchup with six straight defeats on the road, so Bartlesville is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
