If Northfield was riding high fresh off their 53-24 takedown of Logansport last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Northfield Norsemen fell 58-47 to the Wabash Apaches on Saturday. The Norsemen's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Northfield lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Elli Baker, who posted eight points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Kuhn, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 11 points.

Leading Wabash to victory were Brookelyn Buzzard and Bryleigh Boggs. Buzzard went 7 of 16 on her way to 22 points, while Boggs dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds Boggs has posted since back in January. Kaitlynn Honeycutt was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

Northfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Wabash, their record now sits at 9-3.

While Northfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
