Sadly, the Glenburn Panther are still looking for their first win of the season after 17 matchups. They were dealt a 76-41 defeat at the hands of Westhope/Newburg on Monday. Glenburn has not had much luck with Westhope/Newburg recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
It was another big night for Walker Braaten, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and four steals for Westhope/Newburg. Braaten is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 19 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Artz, who scored 12 points along with five assists and three steals.
Westhope/Newburg used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Glenburn. And. Rocklin Beaudrie made the most of the opportunity, scoring three points along with seven rebounds. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Glenburn's loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Westhope/Newburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-1.
Glenburn won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tioga at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Glenburn is facing Tioga at the right time seeing as Tioga is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Westhope/Newburg, they will be playing at home against Garrison at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Garrison has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 321 points over their last five matchups.
