Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Abington Heights). Everything went their way against the Delaware Valley Warriors on Wednesday as they made off with a 16-0 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Comets with their most commanding win of the season.
Laurenp Stalica and Adrianna Condrad made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Stalica struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Condrad tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Stalica has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. At bat, Stalica went 2-for-3 with two RBI, while Condrad went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave Condrad a new career-high.
In other batting news, Hunter Kresge was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Isabelle Wilmot was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
Abington Heights hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matchups.
